Client: Forward Ladies Info: B2B Media Relations

The brief was to boost the profile of Forward Ladies, the leading women’s business organisation and to raise awareness of its annual Women in Business Awards (WIBA) in the North West, Yorkshire, and for the first time, in The Midlands, London and the South.

This involved raising awareness of the Forward Ladies organisation in the new areas and also encouraging entrepreneurial female business leaders across all four regions to enter the awards. The promotion and management of the PR for the four regional heats and the national final held in Leeds, to boost the profile of Griselda Togobo, managing director of Forward Ladies, as a leading speaking on women in business and to give a platform to the Women in Business winners, including shortlisted entrants, and the winners of the regional and national finals.

Faith PR joined Forward Ladies on the country’s biggest ever search for successful women in business to recognise the achievements of professional business women from all sectors and stages of professional life.
Faith PR developed a targeted media relations campaign over the course of five months. Over the years Faith PR has established relationships with journalists across the UK and used its network of contacts to invite key business journalists to the event.

Faith PR achieved a range of strong and positive coverage for the Forward Ladies Women in Business Awards at every stage of the awards process. This included coverage locally, in papers such as the Northwich Guardian, regionally, in publications like the Derby Telegraph, in trade publications such as Guild News, Professional Beauty News, and Engineering Capacity, and across business publications including Midlands Business News, Topic UK and Finance Monthly. Coverage was received both online and in print.

Faith PR’s approach helped raise awareness of Forward Ladies and the awards in areas previously unfamiliar with the awards scheme. All five awards ceremonies – four regional and one final – were sell-out successes.

Ultimately, we helped Forward Ladies ensure that exceptionally talented women in business, who don’t always get the recognition they deserve, were showcased for the contribution they make to the country’s economy.
