It was just last month we welcomed Cherelle Jones to the Faith PR team as our new PR account manager – here’s a bit of info on how experience, what she’ll be doing in her new role and a Q&A for how she’s found her time here so far
Cherelle joins Faith from across the Pennines, having previously worked for WRG Live, ActiveWin Media and SLG in Manchester. With six years’ agency experience, she brings a wealth of skills to her new role, including content and copywriting, social media management, budget management, celebrity liaison, project management, media relations and crisis PR.
Cherelle said: “I’m thrilled to be joining the talented team at Faith and the fast-paced environment has enabled me to become completely immersed in what our clients do. We work with some amazing businesses and I’m relishing the opportunity to help them to tell their stories.
“Everyone here has made me feel really welcome – despite the fact that I originally hail from the ‘wrong’ side of the Pennines. I have moved to Huddersfield, though, which goes a long way towards my Mancunian roots being forgiven!”
Stefanie Hopkins, Faith PR managing director, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Cherelle to the team. She brings valuable experience, skills and enthusiasm, which will add significant value for our clients and support our future growth plans.”
First month done, how did you find it?
Busy! The fast-paced environment has got me immersed fully in the clients and looking forward to the results we can achieve. Also really enjoying working in the team, feels like a work family and everybody is lovely bubbly and helpful!
Were there any unexpected surprises?
Office dogs and the perks of the job – LOVE IT!
Tell us about what you were doing before joining the team?
Before joining Faith I was working in Manchester handling the PR for healthcare clients including Roche which was very scientific and left no room for creativity.
What is something we wouldn’t know about you from your CV?
I like to throw weights around, and used to write a blog on make-up etc.
If you weren’t in the world of PR, what would you be doing and why?
I’d like to say Egyptologist or Astronaut but that’s unrealistic – I’d probably be doing dentistry as it’s what my dad always tried to push me into!
What job would you be really bad at?
Waitressing as I’m way too clumsy for that!
Any surprise talents?
Trampolining? Weights? I can recite every line from Lion King off the top of my head (I’m OBSESSED with Walt Disney Classics).
If you had an autobiography, what would it be called?
Ooops I did a Relly!
You’re a new addition to the crayon box, what colour would you be and why?
Teal as it’s bright, adaptable and looks happier than green!24th June 2019
