Investing in a Big Shots Coffee Shop

Written by Faith PR

We are excited to announce that Faith PR has joined forces with four other local businesses to open our very own coffee shop.

Big Shots, a 500 square foot café, is located in Thornhill Brigg Mills, where our offices are based and is aimed specifically at the local business community (and the Faith team of course!)

Alongside Faith PR, Big Shots is co-owned by Sleigh & Story AccountantsYorkshire PaymentsHenderson Property and Hebden Bridge based painting pottery cafe Flying Saucers.

The cafe was officially opened yesterday (19 August) by Calderdale MP Craig Whittaker.  The launch event saw more than 200 business people, clients and local councillors visit the new coffee shop to see the space – which we have kitted out with meeting essentials including phone chargers, spare stationary and free Wi-Fi – and sample some of the locally produced food on offer.

The café opening marks the end of a 12 month redevelopment of the previously derelict 218 year old former textile mill, which was converted into an office complex after being acquired by Henderson Property in summer 2014.

Speaking about the local employment opportunities that the coffee shop has created, Faith PR director and Big Shots partner Carl Hopkins said: “Having branded and launched other people’s businesses it was fascinating and fun to create our own brand and launch this business for ourselves.  Big Shots has allowed us to create two new jobs for people from the local area, and we also plan to recruit more staff when the business is up and running. We believe it will become a real hub of activity and an asset to our team and the wider business community in Brighouse.”

Big Shots partner Graeme Henderson of Henderson Property added: “Having overseen the redevelopment of Thornhill Brigg Mills since last summer, it is fantastic that the building is now restored to its former glory. What’s more, Big Shots provides a space where we can now welcome other local people and businesses to develop ideas and relationships over a delicious cup of coffee!”
