Carl Hopkins

Carl has faith

Voted the 35th most influential marketer outside of London by readers of The Drum magazine, Carl Hopkins has well over 30 years’ experience in design, marketing, advertising and branding, as well as business ownership.

Known as one of Yorkshire’s leading marketing ‘gurus’, Carl’s career began when he joined direct marketing agency, JDA, as a junior designer. Rising through the ranks to eventually take over the business as MD back in 2000, Carl grew the business from 48 to 75 staff and took turnover from £9.6 million to £19.4 million in a matter of years.

After exiting JDA, Carl set up business development service, kloog, which sees him share some of his experience garnered in his career. He also lends his support to a number of charitable organisations and enterprises, and is regularly called upon as a judge for both creative and enterprise competitions across the UK.

Carl joined faith PR as Commercial Director in 2013 to support the agency in its growth and expansion into a wider range of marketing services.

Carl is a huge Leeds United fan, and a lover of all things Elvis and Marvel Comics. He has also rubbed shoulders with the country’s most successful entrepreneurs after sitting on Vince Cable’s government Entrepreneur’s forum for 22 months. Carl is an authorised Growth Accelerator Coach, which he delivers alongside his role at faith.

Carl has faith in: the stress-relieving qualities of two things: a long hot bath and power tools. But rarely at the same time!
