Will’s hard work adds up as teen enjoys A-Levels maths exam success

Hipperholme Grammar School pupil William Luty’s summed up the key to success as he celebrated an A* grade in mathematics on A-Levels results day – despite only being in his AS-Level year!

The 17-year-old took on the extra exam a year early and added the incredible A-level result to his previous successes in mathematics which included achieving over 90% in two modules last year.

William, who has been appointed as Head Boy for the Hipperholme Grammar School’s next academic year, was one of four pupils who made up the school’s 100 per cent pass rate during the A-Levels and AS-Levels results day on 17 August.

Sixth form pupils Ano Manjanja will be studying Law at Hull University as Taimoor Karim has the results he needs for medical school overseas.
Jackie Griffiths, Hipperholme Grammar School headteacher, said: “All of the results are extremely pleasing for the individual students and their career aspirations. I wish them all the best for what, I am sure, will be a successful future.”
