Healthcare IT specialist, Intouch with Health, has secured a substantial contract to enhance patient experience and clinical efficiency at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals.
The £253,000 partnership will see Intouch provide innovative software-based solutions to manage the flow of patients around the hospitals as well as data quality across the Trust.
Patients may have already seen a range of facilities introduced as a result of this work, such as self-check-in kiosks, which form part of phase one plans.

The NHS has an overarching ambition to become paperless by 2020 and this is just one way in which our Trust can help to achieve this goal.”
Further phase one work has included installing systems to capture accurate recordings of procedure and treatment codes, a dashboard system giving staff a real-time view of where a patient is throughout their appointment and an electronic calendar to manage clinic room and resource bookings.
Phase two work, expected to begin in summer 2017, will include the installation of patient calling systems which use LCD screens to call-forward a patient electronically to their clinic room, and a mobile appointment manager function to allow patients to check-in for a pre-booked appointment and be called to a specific clinic location.
